One of Shawns favorite Stephanie stories involves ordering the Miseno flooring. He comments, It's a little daunting to order 1,800 square feet of looring online. Stephanie made sure we ordered the right number of boxes and that we got the correct transition pieces. She also made sure we received the flooring when we needed it. Stephanie is quick to share the credit with both David Vitt, Build.com's brand manager for Miseno flooring, and Jessica Sijan, the vendor account manager. They helped her figure out all the accessory pieces, including transition pieces, bullnose, and corner pieces-the special bits for flowing the flooring cleanly into a new room. MONIKA'S DREAM KITCHEN TAKES SHAPE The kitchen was the major focal point for this renovation. Monika loves to cook and to entertain, so she and Shawn wanted the kitchen to be a place where everyone could congregate. Their foal was to have a big, open, inviting room, with plenty of counter space and storage. They created a giant island with bar seating to encourage hanging out. Appliances are a major part of a kitchen, and we recommended Electrolux-which Shawn and Monika hadn't considered-as offering great quality and value. For just a little more than they were planning to spend, they got exceptionally well-designed appliances with premium features. The new stove got a big workout on Thanksgiving. Monika reports, We hosted 20 people, and everyone really loved the house. It was our first time cooking a turkey-and our first time using our new oven. It was so nice to have the turkey roasting in one oven and to have the other oven available for cooking dishes that our family brought over. We served all the food and drinks on the island, and there was a crowd of people in and out of the kitchen all night. STEPHANIE SHINES A LIGHT ON EVERY OPTION Stephanie has worked at Build.com for two and a half years. Since she joined the team, weve branched into new categories, including appliances and flooring. Stephanie's search skills and her excellent memory help her keep up. She also attends monthly training sessions, focusing on a featured brand, to deepen her product knowledge. Stephanies candor, and her easy access to in-house brand specialists, impressed Shawn. He points out, We were buying things sight unseen.
